I love the show that Mother Nature gives us every time you hear about a Volcano going off some far off place exotic. Now, in Iceland’s Eyjafjallajokull is no joke. Just ask those in England and Ireland that were stranded without a way to get to or from anywhere in particular in an Airplane. Go figure!

Now, a new article came out today that I find very intriguing. We do know about ash and eruptions that cause lightning right after they are expelled violently from the Volcano. Here is the article that has found electricity within the ash cloud itself. Usually theorized that electricity would be found in the perimeter of the cloud and not within. New findings have electricity within the cloud itself.

Weather balloon data show that the tiny particles within plumes of volcanic ash are constantly generating electrical charge, changing the behavior of the particles and posing a threat to aircraft. Steve Mirsky reports
